11. The Agreement shall not affect the exercise of the rights referred to in Article 11(4) of the Teu (European Citizens` Initiative) and Article 227 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (right of petition to the European Parliament) (a) `interest representative` means any natural or legal person or any formal/informal group, association or network which carries out activities covered by this Agreement; In addition, shareholder agreements often provide that certain risks may be associated with the establishment of a shareholders` agreement in certain countries. (1) This Agreement shall apply to activities which promote certain interests through interaction with any of the three signatory institutions, their members or their officials, with the aim of influencing the formulation or implementation of policy or legislation or the decision-making process within those institutions, unless a derogation defined in paragraph 2 or Article 4 applies. . . .
